James is a writer and creative facilitator based in Manchester.

James delivers creative workshops to adults and young people across the North of England, to help them articulate their own voices and stories in new ways. He has worked in this capacity for The Writing Squad, New Writing North, Manchester Literature Festival and First Story.

His writing for performance has been performed across the country, and he often runs his own Arts Council-funded projects which include a creative engagement strand.

James first worked with All Ways Making as Assistant Artist on their Creative Critics project with Manchester International Festival. He also worked on AWM’s EU Parliament-commissioned teaching resource, to which he brought his enthusiasm for creative learning and flipping the traditional classroom relationship.
